The BCLUK is delighted to invite its members to a seminar and networking reception on Empowering Innovation for Future Success with Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation, Luxembourg’s national innovation agency.

The event is a collaboration of the Luxembourg Embassy in London, the BCLUK, LinkLounge by the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, and Luxinnovation.

SPEAKER

Sasha Baillie heads the Luxembourg national innovation agency Luxinnovation and is a First Government Advisor at the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy. She provides strategic orientation to the innovation agency in line with the Government’s sustainable and digital economic development objectives and ensures that companies are encouraged and supported in their innovation endeavours.

With a Master's in international relations and medieval history from St. Andrews University, Sasha's extensive diplomatic experience began in 1997, leading to postings in Moscow and Brussels, and serving as non-resident Luxembourg Ambassador to Serbia. In 2014, she was appointed deputy chief of staff and diplomatic adviser to the Minister of Economy, focusing on economic development and the defense industry.

Sasha has significantly contributed to Luxembourg’s economic promotion, leading to the establishment of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Board. Furthermore, she was instrumental in the creation and leadership of LuxGovSat S.A. and initiated the nation branding committee to develop and promote the image of the Grand Duchy around the world.
